From an early age Chef Dan had a true passion for culinary pursuits and a deep seated desire to improve his craft. As a classically trained chef, he graduated college earning degrees in both Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. Beginning his career in the kitchens of a world renowned hotel chain and a popular local waterfront restaurant, Chef Dan continued his training, but knew something was lacking. He wanted to concentrate on his love of barbecue and to refine the recipes he had developed. Seeking to perfect his art, he has chosen to use only authentic cooking techniques, and to combine them with the finest, high quality ingredients, fresh from the farm.
The results of his efforts were fully realized in Porky and Beth’s BBQ. Along with family members and close friends, Chef Dan has committed himself to providing superior tasting, traditional Southern barbecue with outstanding service. He has a retail operation on weekends only, open year round at the Bedner’s Farm Fresh Market in Boynton Beach.
